The Other guy stopped by Police

Anyone think that that was odd, the narrative went on a bit long and the sentiment out of context with the rest of the movie "This is the most dangerous time of my life.....etc"

reply

I think it was just to show the audience the effect on Americans that have watched too much liberal TV that put forth the narrative that cops are killers.

Eastwood is one of the last conservative/directors/actors in Hollywood.

reply

Thank you - hadn't considered it from that perspective

reply

This is such BS to constant have shills and trolls jump into every online conversation just to say something stupid about Liberals. Liberal TV? What a goofball.

reply

liberals ruined tv. then people went to youtube and internet for freedom from libtards but now they took over that shit too

reply

You have another theory Cherry boy? Spit it out.

THAT was what Eastwood was trying to show. The media's effect of demonizing police officers when they deal with minorities, and how easily they can be killed.

The propaganda that gets ratings.

Clint's a funny guy. He seems, at least outwardly, to have lived his life completely politically incorrectly, but he puts scenes like this in his movies, as well as this movie is all about caring for your family first, which Eastwood did not really do. At the premier of this movie, the woman who played his on-screen daughter came out as his real daughter and used the last name Eastwood.

But, as for that scene ... I thought it was pretty good and accurate ... and something that it doesn't hurt anyone to think about.

reply

People cant sin and live a life of sin yet regret it or have remorse. Check The Godfather films. Vito never wanted Michael to follow his footsteps.

reply

“Came out” as his real life daughter.....everyone has known that was his daughter for 25 years.

reply

Everyone, as you only you?

reply

No....she has been in multiple films for the last 25 years....her name was always Eastwood and she never hid their relationship.....She was also in playboy about 15 years ago under the caption “Clint’s daughter makes our day”

reply

I think he was poking fun at law enforcement. Scene wouldn't been funnier if the guy had been black.
