Loved it - Well done story and top directing

I wasn't the biggest fan of Murder on the Orient Express. I thought it was more style and less substance.

This was well done, with great sets, sound, and visuals. The cast was less "stunt casting" and more interesting and the whodunit well played out with a couple twists and turns. I thought Branagh was much more subdued and mature in this one, and it let the story breath a bit more.

It was a nice way to spend a couple hours in a theater.

im excited.. will definitely be seeing this on the big screen

I enjoyed it, I think Branagh is fantastic as Poirot, and the cast is great, well shot as well. Was shocked when they killed off Bouc (spoilers)

Branagh's take on the character is interesting, but he's not really the Poirot from the books. That doesn't mean I don't like his portrayal--David Suchet already gave us Christie's Poirot and he will likely never be topped--but there is a sense of inauthenticity with the character that Branagh has created.

Regarding it being well-shot, in a sense it certainly is, but the film also feels very artificial. For a period piece set during the 1930s, tons of green screen and CGI aren't really a good fit.

I thought it was pretty good, but I liked Murder on the Orient Express better. This is a 7/10 from me.

I liked the setting more in this one vs MoTOE. I need to go back and watch it again.

it was an enjoyable 2 hours.

I liked it too.

MOTOE is probably a better made movie. But I found DotN more entertaining. There's a lot of moments that are legit good and there's some moments that descend into outright camp. Branagh holds it all together though.

Very boring.
