She's an ok actress but I honestly just don't buy her as an "action star".

Agreed. Just watched the trailer, and while it is an ok premise, not feeling it with Lopez.

Also... girl boss movies kind of over done right now. imo.

I think there are actresses who can easily pull it off with the right script.

Mentioned Jovovich. Charlize Theron is another one. Jennifer Lopez ain't it imo

And a "new face" right now is Ana de Armas. She was standout in both No Time to Die & The Gray Man

There's not much to it. Yet another story about an at-times annoying kid being saved/protected from 'elite' tactical bad guys by a hero/heroine. Put it at the bottom of your watch list.
