The sheriff deduced that the hitman had something to do with Shelby's, and likely Trey's, disappearances. Plus, Shelby was family, his nephew.

Found myself speeding through the last boring 45 mins...
There's not much to it. Yet another story about an at-times annoying kid being saved/protected from 'elite' tactical bad guys by a hero/heroine. Put it at the bottom of your watch list.

True words. I knew nothing about the novel and my God, I had the same thought. It felt like I was watching some type of boring street play. Absolutely hokey and terrible show.

Agree. Pretty good, but not quite there for 7 or higher. Love Sydney Sweeney's, um, assets, myself. Wasn't expecting to see much but got plenty of them. Twist was also good but <spoiler> I was suspicious of the wife turning up at the eye doctor where Pippa worked, making a friendship with Pippa, and then 'dying' so soon.</spoiler> So, I guess the twist was not that surprising for me.

No. Six episodes in and it's just analytics, VR nonsense, and zero, ok, blurred out nudity. Very pretentious nonsense this season and it has now fallen into background noise for me. The Riley Keough episodes and the Anna Farris episodes were the best for me.
Can you point out even one moment where Mauro showed discomfort with any of the sex?
No. Because we mostly see everything from Viruca's eyes. But, I remember her saying that they had to 'break up' to make it believable to Tomas.
PS: The son was a moment of weakness, essentially written into the script to provide a 'wrinkle' to her plans with Tomas.
They didn't try to portray her as an angel or anything, hell, she was also a cokehead.
Viruca came up with the plan. He reluctantly agreed only because they were desperate for the money they could make from Tomas.
