Anyone perfer this over Endgame

We're lucky to have squeaked this one in ahead of the pandemic. But like all movies shot back to back, the second film is always inferior. It has to be because of rushed production and everybody being exhausted. If they had actually taken a few years to shoot and edit this thing, we'd have a very different movie.

Absolutely. This was brilliant. Endgame was god awful.

I personally find Endgame a bit overrated. Infinity War was a lot better, at least until the dumb ending. Like, were we REALLY suppose to believe that all these characters were really going to stay dead? There was ZERO suspense.

That "for some reason" you describe can be summed up by IW's heightened and unyielding sense of urgency. It hooks you in from the start and never lets go. Everything from the direction, the lean editing, and especially Silvestri's masterful score contribute to how effective the film turned out. I know Marvel movies get a lot of flack for being the "fast food" of modern cinema, but there's real movie magic happening in IW. Even a franchise newbie could appreciate it.

Endgame is good, but it's weighed down by its own self-aware sense of grandiosity, and its groan-inducing need to pander to fans of other franchise entries like CM, it becomes overwhelmingly bloated, and consequently becomes a slightly weaker film than IW.

Something about the pathos of IW sways my preference.

Besides, upon repeat viewing the final battle of Endgame comes off as cheap fan service. Fun the first time, cheesy from then on out.

I felt Endgame was just excessive and kind of messy... not a bad movie, but inferior to Infinity War.

For this magnitude of superhero-big budget-Hollywood film I would rate:
Infinity War 8.5/10
Endgame 7.5/10

What kind of sick question is this? The evil guy wins at the end of Infinity War. The good guys win in Endgame. Who wants to see a movie over and over again with mass extinction going on at the end? Enough said

I prefer INIFINITY WAR over END GAME, if for anything because I hate what they did to the HULK and feel that was done on purpose cause in reality, HULK should've had a rematch with THANOS.. My impression is the Russo Bros simply didn't care for the character and this was their way of turning the HULK into a Puss and it even carried over to SHE-HULK on Disney+ and how he was treated like a total Puss and looked smaller for some reason?? I'm not really sure how they can retcon this and feel like the damage is done, unless they made An Incredible HULK II with Edward Norton fighting the Wolverine like in the comic that also had DeadPool in it??
