Kim will run away with Lalo

You can feel the sexual chemistry between them.

No way, that’s ridiculous! She’s crazy about Saul, she’d do anything for him.

I really wonder how Kim will exit Saul's life.

It seemed like his overly sleazy ways were going to turn Kim off at first, but now she's clearly getting closer to him. So Kim leaving Saul is unlikely at this point.

I think Lalo will murder Kim next season. Mike will then kill Lalo and make sure Saul knows it's done. That will explain why Saul was still involved with Gus and Mike at the beginning of Breaking Bad.

Doubt Kim is going to die, I’m leaning towards she leaves him

It is hard to guess on a number of things that will happen, but there are a few things I am quite certain will not happen. One of them is Kim leaving Saul for a Cartel member. The other is,I really do not think Kim is going to die. Mostly because Saul does not act as if he had a wife he loved dearly get murdered by the criminals he was representing. It is much more likely she is going to leave him because it all goes too far and she can't bare it. Jimmy will take this as an insult of his character and look at it like she is saying he is a failure like his brother thought he was. This will cause Jimmy to double down even more into the Saul Goodman character. That is what I think anyway.

reply

While Kim has lots of good reasons to leave Jimmy, I don't think she will. I think it is much more likely that Jimmy.... seeing the danger he has put her in.... will dump Kim in order to save her life. I know this sounds crazy, but isn't this exactly what Werner (the German engineer heading up the super meth lab project) did to protect his wife from danger.

reply

That is a good guess. I could see that being what happens. While most people are anticipating it will be Kim that leaves him, it ends up being him that leaves her. Could be.

reply

Doesn't sound crazy at all, her leaving him doesn't make any sense because it's boring writing. My guess is she will get drunk on the scammer life and end up in jail or something like that.

reply

My thoughts exactly. They even forecasted that in the season finale.

My theory is that Jimmy will save Kim by setting her up for Howard's accidental and very public DEATH. Since we have learned that Kim has more than no love but actual disdain and resentment towards Howard AND that she'd like to Fuck him over and his career, I can see Jimmy using that motivation to actually follow thru on her prank but actually set it up so that it kills Howard and forces Kim into hiding. This in turn leads to my theory that Kim will use the disappearing guy. After she disappears she will in turn let Jimmy know where she is in the time being and that's where the flashforward with "Gene" will give us his resolution.

I can't imagine Kim dying and the Saul we get in BB existing close together in the same timeline. The Saul we get in BB is a slime ball lawyer who has practically shed all his sense of morality, and seems fine with it. Where we are now, sure Saul certainly isn't shy of doing shady things, but he's just been showing guilt and regret that he's been getting Kim into trouble. It wouldn't sit right for her to die and for him to descend deeper into that Saul Goodman psyche, almost as if her death had little impact on him.

reply

I can see it. Lalo definitely finds her sexy. And she stood up to him.
Just the kind of woman he needs to help him expand his empire.

That would be quite the hilarious twist but no, that's not going to happen. The most likely scenario which most people have anticipated is Kim getting fed up one way or the other and leaving Jimmy/Saul. The writers have been subverting that expectation for 5 seasons & currently now more than ever with Kim more committed and loyal to Jimmy as ever.

On the one hand it's certainly interesting how the writers have subverted audience expectations with Kim but they may be writing themselves into a corner with her inevitable exit from Jimmy's life, having to now pull it off without it feeling forced, and contrived simply because it "has to happen". Based on where they are now with Kim & Jimmy/Saul's relationship I'm skeptical if they will be able to organically bridge the ever closing gap between the timeline of Breaking Bad where Jimmy is full on sleazy, amoral Saul Goodman without the faintest sense of regret or longing of a very recent marriage with someone he was very much in love with and dedicated to & vice versa.

reply

Yeah, the strengthening of the relationship of Kim and Jimmy was a bit of a surprise. It seemed that Jimmy's antics, his working against her and her clients, would have pushed them further apart. But just the opposite happened, Kim felt closer and they got married. So as others say, as in the post by Threadkiller above, it would seem that something even more drastic will happen to split them up. I hope the final split isn't Kim getting harmed because of Jimmy's affiliations with the drug cartel and people, but we'll see how things play out.

reply

I think it's clear Kim gets off on the thrill of "the game" as evidenced thought the show. I would imagine she's either going to be killed to keep Saul in line, or she'll visit a vaccine repair man and disappear.

reply

Based off of what she wants to Hamlin from the season finale, its almost as if she's worse than Saul in some aspects. Even Saul wasn't serious about wanting what she wanted to do. I don't she will leave Saul, I think Saul will leave her because he realizes he ruined her and doesn't want her to continue to follow him down this path.

reply

Interesting, I hadn't thought of that. Maybe Saul will be the one to leave as you say.
