I Would Gouge My Eyes Out

It's not like it's impossible to live a decent life while being blind. Sure, it would be hard in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, but it's better than living in constant fear of committing suicide

Overall, pretty solid horror/thriller film, though. Better than average. And felt really bad for my boy John Malkovich

Watching this made me wanna gouge my eyes out. There was too much cringe to sit though. The grocery store clerk and the other pregnant lady couldn't act to save their lives. Nobody even tried squinting. It was eyes fully open or closed. They didn't want to attempt to show anything of the entities, probably thinking your imagination was better than anything they could come up with. Sure it's important to use the audience's imagination, but at least show more than the rustling of leaves and bushes.

It's like someone saw how bad The Happening was and figured they could improve it by adding a bit of A Quiet Place to it.

They did show the shadow of the demon-like creatures 2 or 3 times.

reply

well if u wear glasses then just dun use them, hopefully the myopia is severe enough that you wont be able to see exactly what it is lol

reply

Well I think she actually gouge the eyes out of the kids in the book... They just didn't wanted to put this in the film because it would be to much for the main character. Audience won't rooting for her.
Somebody can confirm this from the book?

reply

She started to destroy their eyes by pouring lye or acid in them, but felt bad and changed her mind.

reply

Such a pity all that was censored from the film. It could have been so much better.

reply

Idk man not being able to see would fucking suck. Its literally the most important part of life. Even in this situation where its life or death I'm not sure I could bring myself to do that. I don't know how blind people can handle it. I'd literally go crazy.

reply

Ummm, I think I would just opt for a blindfold, until the whole issue was resolved. A blindfold.

reply

Exactly. I just couldn't go without seeing ever.

1080P does not serve Sandra Bullock well. Did she get a bad facelift?

reply

Are we supposed to know what "1080P" means?

reply

It is the top end of high-definition (720p, 1080i & 1080p), the number of lines and how they are shown (I = interlace scan and P = progressive scan). Netflix defaults to 1080p if your TV or computer supports it. Then you can move up to UHD and that is 2160p also known as 4K on Netflix for more money per month, if they have a 4K version of the show to stream and if you have compatible equipment. Most cable services top out at 1080i and 720p for their channels right now due to the limits of their services.

Well she is 54 and obviously had some work done. I think she looks good for 54.

reply

Holy shit, she's already 54?

She is SMOKIN for 54.
