The only reason he is back is because dumbass Johnson killed Snoke, had he lived Palpatine wouldn't need to be revived.

He's dead. He did leave some weird hologram representation behind that gave instructions to the remnants of the Empire....

Anakins sacrifice was for his own redemption, the fate of Palpatine is unrelated. If Palp survived, Anakin was still redeemed and still saved Luke.

Yeah, i'm not sure why the fans seems to be reacting positively to this news. It just further throws the original films' epic story line into the garbage.
