Disney claims monetization for fan film!😠
Ass hurt...petty...small minded TWATS!
shareWhat the heck, dude!
I expect that from CBS getting involved in the fan-made "Star Trek" productions.
One thing I'll say about George Lucas; despite being a toymaker and not a filmmaker, he shared his passion with people on their our terms, letting them be creative. That's how "Star Wars" became so successful. Everyone could get involved.

Agree fully! Can not imagine how this idea got past committee. It just has petty hurt feelings
Written all over it. And here I thought Disney might start keeping their eyes on the ball. STRIKE THREE!
Boycott Captain Marvel, Disney is a greedy company
shareActual facts. YT video slapped with same claim that every video which uses copyrighted music attracts. Including fan films.
All the guy has to do is take out copyrighted music and there's no claim.
But it seems to be preferable to some to play the victim and stir up a shitstorm.
You would know😉
shareThat's a new low, no matter how you sell it.
Asking them not to monetize it, or asking them not to have benefits, that would be OK. But monetizing a fan film, that's despicable.
That is a dick move from Disney, even though in they are in their right to do so. Why do they care? As the owner of the YT Channel said, it's pennies for them.
I guess that what I take from here (nothing new) is that Disney are just penny grabbing bullies that really do not care about other people getting creative and expanding on ideas. To think that a company valued at $36.5 Billion Dollars decided to put someone and spend time and money studing how to sue and then manually suing a video on a channel of YouTube... for what? Pennies¿
I imagine this went something like:
Disney Dude 1: Hey so, there's a fan-made video of a Darth Vader on YT.
Disney Dude 2: How do you know?
Disney Dude 1: My son told me, he loved it. Should we sue them?
Disney Dude 2: Yeah! Get our lawyers into it to see how we can crush it!
Disney Dude 1: Noice! First thing on my New years resolution: check!
Sure Disney could and had the right to do that, but I think that by doing it just shows how much of a shitty company Disney has become.
Anyway, it's my understanding that this guy can just remove the song that is in violation of the copyright and re-upload the video, I'm sure people will give him the views back. I sure would.
Great response...thanks! Have to admit it was late when I posted this...need to research and get the whole picture...seems a hot story👍
shareDisney is run by the greediest s.o.b.'s on the planet but producing films with socialist subtexts doesn't even make them blush. Uncle Walt must be spinning in his cryo-tank or wherever the hell he is.
shareArticle on where the claim actually comes from and why it's by no means the first claim to be made.

You're acting much like a dog...that mistakenly thinks I care how the bone I tossed him tastes😉
shareI guess you wouldn't care when the taste of your own shit would appear to seem perfectly good enough for yourself.
shareIt took you that long to come up with that? L😂L!
shareDon't be so harsh on him, I've dealt with him on the Halloween board and he clearly has Asperger's. He's also pretty dense.
shareSometimes you have to deliver a clout to the snout😉 how have you been? Any interesting conversations taking place lately?
