Star Wars: A Lost Hope
Appropriate title because millions of fans have lost any hope of Disney making a really good Star Wars film.

shareI was looking forward to an Obi Wan movie, especially if Ewan McGregor returning was a possibility. Seems like that may not be happening now.
shareDisney would've ruined it. Let them create new characters and stories instead of rehashing the original trilogy.
shareTruly would have ruined it. We can still make that movie 20 years from now. Let's wait till somebody else is in charge over there.
shareDisney won't give up their cash cow. If they ever sell, it'll be because they have completely ruined it.
shareAs much I would love it if Di$ney were somehow forced to sell I'm not anticipating it ever happening let alone anytime soon. It would take many years, likely decades for the Di$ney to run Star Wars franchise so far into the ground for it to not be worth it for them to keep no matter how much cash grab garbage they keep producing.
shareI didn't mean Disney losing it. They're keeping that property forever. I meant getting rid of Kennedy and hiring some visionary guy like Marvel's Feige. They'll figure it out eventually.
shareI knew what you meant👍
shareI guess I'm hard to please because I don't believe Fiege is good enough either. I've become bored with most Marvel superhero movies.
Kennedy was handpicked by Lucas, but she betrayed him. I'd rather have Lucas return with input from another creative person. Or let Lucas pick another person that he believes could guide the franchise. In the past, he picked great people. Kennedy was his one personnel error. Let him have another choice.
I think the Kennedy who used to work with Lucas and Spielberg back in the day was a different person. That's women for you.
shareOr she was always a wolf in sheep's clothing. I'm suspicious of anyone who lies extremely well which she does repeatedly in the interview re: her intentions for the Star Wars franchise.

Lucas doesn't need input from a creative. He IS the creative. The OT was so good because there were people who filtered and reorganized his ideas. He's a mix of visionary creative, great businessman, and TERRIBLE storyteller. What he needs is people who say something like 'nope, nope, that one's fine, nope, neither, this one's OK but it goes there'.
shareThat's exactly what I meant. A better word might have been talented.
shareHe had Marcia...she is the reason ANH and TESB were masterpieces. She is the filter you speak of. ROTJ and everything since has sucked due to her absence. And if you think George's treatment of the ST would have been good...Google that mess...it's God awful...unless you wanted A LOT more midichlorians😂
shareI know :-) Actually you agreed with me about it in this thread :P
