Promoted like snake oil.

The front page of the IMDB entry has this sentence. "It's the question you're not allowed to ask. The documentary they don't want you to see".

It's the victim against the world ploy that is more often than not, selling a lie. Does the video rise above this punchline?

reply

" Step right up, young and all, see the latest freak show of utter stupidity... human beings that don't understand basic English language, nor the obviousness of their own sex, in the main event! "

reply

What lie do you think the documentary makers are selling?

reply

I have not watched it yet. So far I have only judged it by what the producers are saying about it. Have you watched it? Does it rise above the crap they makes say about it?

reply

Not seen it as it needs a Daily Wire subscription. I've only heard good things about it. The clips I've seen are hilarious. The leftists are really afraid to even to try and answer this question. Maybe I'll sign up and take a look.

reply

I wonder what percentage of people interviewed made the cut to be in the documentary? If the producers wanted to make anyone, on either side of the debate, sound smart, they could probably do it without any problems at all.

A video is not a documentary just because it is labeled as such. So far the producers have labeled it in part as something that the mysterious "they" don't want us to see. It is clickbait crap that they are using to promote the video.

reply

"A video is not a documentary just because it is labeled as such."

Neither is a man a woman nor a woman a man, just because they want to be labeled as such. Good to see you get the gist of the doco's core message :D

reply

Remember, you're not allowed to ask that question, according to Matt Walsh.

reply

If you are a celebrity and you ask that question, yes, you will at least be the target of the cancel culture mob.

reply

Talk about a self-own. :D

reply

Ranb, trolling aside, I have seen parts of it and it is pretty good. Will post a more detailed and serious reply later maybe.

reply

The same could be said about every documentary ever made. Matt Walsh is obviously a conservative so has an agenda. And like I say I've only seen a few clips but everyone who made the cut had the same opportunity to make some sense of their point of view.

reply

Are you claiming that everyone who appeared in the video did not have their comments edited in any way?

Claiming that they all had the same opportunity is a rather bold statement to make when you have only seen a few clips.

reply

Same answer - The same could be said about every documentary ever made.
If he included everything said how long can you imagine how long this thing would be?

reply

So then are you going to back down from your claim that "everyone who made the cut had the same opportunity to make some sense of their point of view" even though you have watched only a few clips of the show?

reply

No. Why would I? If it was edited as, again, every documentary is, it doesn't follow that the meaning of their words were altered. Your stating point seems to be that the film makers had ill intent. Maybe you should watch it and find out. I may watch it and will do so with an open mind. I wonder if you could say the same.

reply

You formed a conclusion based upon nearly nothing. This is not a good practice.

reply

Literally the opposite of my previous post but thanks for your contribution...

reply

You mean the previous post where you claimed, "I've only seen a few clips"? Since when is only "seen a few clips" is the opposite of "nearly nothing"?

reply

OK, fair enough there. I misread.

reply

So did you, read your OP.

reply

Yes. Does the video rise above this punchline?

reply

Yes. Do you spend weeks scrutinising the tagline of every film before deciding whether to watch it?

reply

No. A tag line can be scrutinized in seconds. That is why it is a tagline.

For all I know, this film could be an excellent one to watch. All the more unfortunate that it has a tagline like snake oil.

reply

"Walsh is obviously a conservative so has an agenda."

Yes, he makes no secret about that. His agenda is to point out that trans hysteria, the trans fad, and the trans industry of doctors, surgeons, psychologists, and academics who support it are mentally unbalanced. He proves it beyond doubt simply by allowing them to talk. All documentaries and interviews are edited. If we could see all of the interview video unedited, I am certain it wouldn't change anything about the way these lunatics come across. He just chose the best bits.

reply

Actually it’s quite accurate. If you even dare to question whether transgendered individuals are the gender they claim they are then you are cancelled, shamed, smeared and humiliated by the far left fake news media. I’m glad Matt has stepped up and stood up for common sense and free expression despite the fact that he’s received very graphic death threats from the trans community/far left cult.

reply

How could anyone humiliate me if I am not ashamed of what I say? A person can choose to not be a doormat.

You have examples of these very graphic death threats? I've read claims that there were threats, but no proof they exist.

reply

Or the left could learn to be decent human beings and not attempt to destroy the character of anyone who dares to disagree with them, yep that sounds like a better idea.

reply

He toots his own horn a bit much. "We knew we would get blowback, but we did it anyway". A hero in his own mind.

reply

Doesn’t matter, he still received death threats, whether or not he expected to get death threats is irrelevant. I don’t care who he offended or how much he “toots his horn” that doesn’t justify the left saying they will kill him.
