Im not planning to see it

But the early reviews show that fans are going to get a decent film. I hope so. If the film does well and stands out, you'll see a lot of fans discussing the movie rather than fight about politics.

same. will wait for dvd (not blu)

reply

At least you could pause it in case you needed to use the bathroom.

reply

i will watch it in 4k (not DVD)

reply

I'd watch it in beta, but that would take a lot of tapes.

reply

Laserdisc here. I will have to get up and flip the discs 4 or 5 times...

reply

I would do that, but my 1998 TV died and the laser disc player is stuck on the AV cart. Lol

reply

It's gonna take some pretty juicy spoilers here to get me to see it. Fact is I really blew my Batman nut with ZS's Justice League. Between that and the riot of Spider-Man 3, i'm pretty good on super hero movies for a while.

The nice thing about living today vs the 70's is the fact we can rewatch movies in the comfort of our homes.

reply

Yeah, man. It's a weird thing, but I really do only go to see movies now to support them rather than enjoy them.

reply

I enjoy the theater. But I've only watched three movies at the theater in the last two years. A quiet place 2, Ghostbusters 2021, and Dog.

The only one I knew anything about was Ghostbusters. The other two were just random picks. Its actually fun to go into a theater without knowing what's onscreen. Worse case, 28 days. Best case, beerfest.

reply

I'm not seeing it either nope!

reply

That's one of many awful aspects of the modern world.

reply

Is it because of overwatching and overanalyzing film? I can see that.

reply

Not at all. I think the world was a happier place when we shared experiences as a community. When a movie came out, we all went to see it and talked about it, and it was part of the collective consciousness. When a TV show was aired, we all sat in front of the TV at the same time, and we all had that in common the next day. Now no one knows what anyone is doing, and none of us are doing the same thing as anyone else. And if we are, we still can't talk about it because maybe you're watching one episode a day and he's binging it, and god forbid spoilers.

reply

That's a decent point.

reply

Uh huh uh huh tl;Dr I was too busy starring at my phone....

Ha. Kidding.

reply

I would maybe watch it on TNT in five years.

Sadly if they pushing for 3 hours in covid theaters, I won't pay them. Will wait for home stream. Make it 2 or less please. I know they won't, but I'm voting with my wallet for 2 hour films. Everything longer has baggage filler that needs cut
