No charisma, no chemistry, just awful.

Nobody good looking like the beautiful Neve Campbell or young Courtney Cox.

The main character just has a blank stare. She can’t even look at things believably.

There’s the stupid silly little sister. She’s the best of the bunch.

I cheered out loud when the lesbian was on the subway. What a hideous character. Just painful on the eyes and, again, can’t act.

I don’t hate the jock as much as I probably should.

There is not a good American actor under 30 anymore.

The main girl in this is always glassy eyed, like she's a drunk model. Lmao, this franchise has become a joke, completely agree with the 0 emotion. Like wth is that for a main character? Her eyes look bored and uninterested the whole movie, no matter the scene or emotion. Agreed, the only one I'll give any sort of props is the young sister, she's spirited and shows energy. This whole film was like Ad for black empowerment, may as well have called it BLM: The movie, with someone dressed as a ghost.

I agree and also disagree.

I really don't care for them. Just not invested. But we're also comparing them to legacy characters. New characters compared to legacy characters are rarely going to have an easy time.

But it's dumb to dislike simply because you don't find them attractive. As for whether they can act, I suppose that's subjective. Not everyone will be pleased. Some will. So I guess your opinion isn't the be-all end-all. And for sake of argument say there's a wider consensus that they can't act. Well, as you pointed out, they're under 30. Did you master your craft by 30? Most don't. Some young actors that you might find skilled wouldn't want to do this genre. Also, this genre has generally not required the most top-notch acting, but likes characters to be youthful, so it's a good genre for up and comers to pay their dues.

Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega are both beautiful women and honestly on a purely looks basis I'd say they're better looking than a young Neve and Courtney.

This is what happens when Hollywierd Prioritizes diversity and representation over talent. You get a bunch of generic and bland characters.

Really? I mean yes I love Neve but these 2 girls are prettier imo. Neve has a unique look and I will give her that. Anyway I am super white so it's not me being woke as most of the comments want to alllude to.

I haven’t seen any other movies with the girl who plays Sam so I don’t know if that is typical of her

But I kind of wondered if the blank stare and lack of emotion was maybe because she’s trying to fight off sociopath serial killer tendencies

No, she’s not good enough. If you asked her “What are you doing?” and she replied “Looking” I would not believe her.
