what do you want from next season?

Really, I just want the predictability of character deaths to go. Give us something shocking again, like Carl bitten by a random walker in the fifth episode.

I would like some surprises as well when it comes to deaths. One of the best scenes by far was when Glen fell off the dumpster.....then they ruined it by having him slide under the dumpster. Had they left him dead *that* would of been a pivotal moment!

Though I like character development storylines, back stories and such....they are doable within an episode instead of an entire episode that breaks up the storyline. This season seemed all over the place. Please have them do something with Daryl...it just seems like everytime there's an empty space they were like "Norman, go stand over there."

Too many people to keep track of now and yet....we add a group not in the comics "junkyard". I'm wondering if the show plans on keeping our main group in different areas...or combine them back once the war is over?

I would like the next season to be less boring & I would like the writers to gain the ability to tell a proper story rather than spending one week at the kingdom, next week with the saviors next week just on Rick etc etc. etc. Why the fuck can't they link things together decently like almost all other shows do?

Sick of filler and boring ass dialogue like all the Rick "this is how we survive" bullshit every time you see him... as much as I like the walking dead it has way to much people jabbering on about fuck all that adds to the story.

I want to see a lot more of the only element that worked last season: more Z NATION-inspired nuttiness.

The last thing this show needs to do is take notes from Z Nation. No thank you.

reply

Their clippings from ZN are literally the only things in the last two season worth any positive comment at all.

Not at all. It just makes it look amateur and stupid. But that's of course if they actually did do this which I don't recall. They usually stray away from anything ZN like as they want to be taken serious.

I want an all out war that lasts the whole season, not something wrapped up on the beginning of the season or at the end.

reply

Absolutely...Negan is too big and bad (and cool lol) to wipe out in a few eps...
This coming season Has to be an all out gory war against him
I really hope Carl figures heavily in messing up our fave baddie too lol

"I want an all out war that lasts the whole season, not something wrapped up on the beginning of the season or at the end."

That is EXACTLY what I want to see in the new season, too. I do NOT want to see one battle lasting half an episode....then both sides regrouping and talking for 3 or 4 episodes about strategy and interpersonal shit....then another battle, and then more of the goddamn talking. A war--a REAL WAR--never ends; there are ALWAYS battles being fought, and there should be conflict in EVERY episode, until one side wins and one side loses (we already know who's it's going to be, but we should still be surprised at the casualties from the conflict).

Aw hell, who am I kidding? We're going to get a couple of battles in a couple of episodes, and the rest of the time will be yak, yak, yakkity-yak for the rest.

reply

I don't mind the talking and strategies that build up to a war but I want it to be a long bloody war, not, like you said, a half episode war, I want it to last an entire season of at the very least, a couple of episodes.

reply

I'd like for episodes to blend together different arcs and plotlines and not just concentrate on only one thing or group of characters to be picked up 4 or 5 episodes later..Get with the continuity and don't try to tease us with subplots for prolonged periods until we no longer even care about the outcome...

And allow the characters to react and speak realistically ...organically...and not throw irrationality in just to move the plot along.
If the plot can't advance in a way that makes sense naturally... don't try to fit a square peg in a round hole. Be true to the characters.
Other than that I'd like a little hope that what they're fighting for is worthwhile.

reply

I would like to see more of Negan...what is his story, how he end up a cold blooded killer...In a way, I like his style...even I feld some cold chills on my back in those scenes.

reply

The comics give some back story to him(as in-issue short pieces)
He was sort of a jerk prior to the outbreak...bully school teacher that was used to dominating little school kids/bad wandering husband/ ridiculously foul-mouthed/used his bully behavior to herd a bunch of dumb goons with guns into forming his first army...
You can find the back story on line easily but it is less than remarkable

reply

Do 'All out War' and then give it a conclusion for this upcoming season. Then, the season after, instead of following the comics, Rick's crew leaves Washington D.C. area and heads to the midwest, time for a fresh location and new people to meet.

reply

Good idea Volley
The comic books get kind of silly after this Negan war arc so switching it up would be a good idea imo
