THE hottest ticket of the summer...

...and with a relatively thrifty 100 million dollar production budget. Might end up being the most profitable film of the year. Kudos to Warner Brothers on this smash.

reply

Lol its not even been released yet, this is so painful to see, from the studio that brought you flop after flop, do you get paid to shill for wb?

reply

Have you ever heard of "pre-sales"? You might want to check out how Barbie is doing in that area.

reply

It's a smash a week before its release?

It might be, but it's premature to call it anything right now. I think it has a chance given that there are a lot of kids out of school right now. Personally, I would have released it a month ago to give it a chance to build some steam with parents and kids as school was ending the summer break.

reply

When pre-sales have it heading to a probable 130 million domestic opening weekend on a 100 mil production budget it's safe to call this a "smash" . The question will only be how BIG of a "smash" it is when all is said and done.

reply

Its not a smash at all, it hasnt been released yet and hasnt made any profit, not one dime.

reply

You seriously are a moron.

reply

Haha im the moron, says something is a smash and its not been released, 245 million dollar budget including marketing costs, remember when you said WW2 would be the biggest CBM of 2021? And im the moron hahaha

reply

And lets not forget when you said the flash is a 1 billion lock haha moron

reply

As this opening shows, which was clear from the presales...you are a moron.

reply

No need for insults queen , as i said at the time not one dime was made and there you were dick riding as usual.

reply

Yes. Money had already been made in the neighborhood of 70 million in PRESALES a week before release!

reply

Blue beetle is tracking at 55 million after its run, lol, bet you wont critique that office, remember that tome when you critique end game for having a 4th week drop after it made 2.8 billion haha oh queen

reply

So when you get totally schooled you change the subject to Blue Beetle lol.

reply

How have a been schooled? you said it was a smash before a dime was made, i was right, and its obviously on course to be a smash, still wont save WB from practically going bankrupt this year.

reply

I called it a smash after it was disclosed it had 70 million in pre-sales. Only an idiot would say that is "not a dime."

reply

Warner Brothers isnt the company with a CEO desperately trying to sell off its assets and possibly the whole company itself.lol.

reply

You sure about tha hahaha take the L

reply

Lolol...Disney is talking about selling off portions of it's company like ABC and ESPN that runs into the hundreds of BILLIONS of dollars. A 500 million music publishing sale is hardly worth talking about. No media company is in greater peril right now than Disney. Lolol it's only in all of the headlines!

reply

lol Disney's gross profit this year ending March was 7.199 billion , 8% increase on last year hahahahaha i know you hate Disney but WB is crashing and burning and will continue to do so for a while.

reply

You know I don't know if you are right or not. As it happens, I'm a bit bored right now so I looked some things up. Barbie is at half a billion - and still going strong. Barbie was distributed by Warner Brothers so it looks like they are going to clean up (only took approx 135 mil to make). Disney on the other hand, is already tanking with Indiana Jones 5. This one is pretty much out of gas, and it's only at 338 mil - with a 3-400 million dollar budget. No doubt about it, Disney is going to take a bath on Indiana 5. Now, on the other hand, maybe Disney is doing so great that Indy 5 will just be a slight blip on their radar. And maybe WB is so far in the red that Barbie cant save them. I really don't know. Just pointing some stuff out cuz I'm bored right now. BTW, this response was to furiousstyles.

reply

WB have spent 100 million on marketing alone for this movie, i have a feeling your going to have egg on your face again queen

a lavish Malibu Barbie dreamhouse and an abundance of pink, it goes beyond mere film promotion. While the movie had a budget of $145 million, rumors suggest that Warner Brothers rolled out an additional $100 million specifically for the marketing campaign, leaving no expense spared

reply

Strnz...was I "premature" in calling this a "smash'?

reply

Yes.

reply

9 times out of 10 queen gets it wrong by calling things a smash before release , said the flash was a lock for a billion, renfield, Wonder woman 2 and black adam to name a few, been trolling now for a good 12 years.

reply

Queen's problem is that he/she/they/it doesn't understand that the English language has over 150,000 words in it, most people know 40K words and use about half that. All those words mean that you can convey an accurate thought.

Queen said Barbie was "the hottest ticket of the summer" and "kudos to Warner Brothers for the smash" - speaking in the present tense. Anyone with a basic working knowledge of English knows that he/she/they/it was talking as if the movie had already been released in the past.

All Queen had to say was Barbie "will probably be the hottest ticket of the summer". Who could argue with an opinion?

reply

That's the thing, queen likes to sow discord on these boards and imdb boards, he knows what he is doing, example when Endgame was released queen criticised its box office after 3 weeks for having a big drop, if that was a WB, Universal movie that would never happen.

Take Barbie for instance, if this was a Disney movie queen would be quiet right now and not say a word and wait for his time until there was a drop and be critical.

https://filmboards.com/board/p/486990/

This poster from the board above summed it up perfectly.

It does upset people, Queen. It's been pointed out to you several times that your bias towards Disney/Pixar productions is based on name and that you tend to create many threads predicting the failure of each Disney production. Posters are feeling a little manipulated.

Aaaaannnnndddd....not only was this the hottest ticket of the summer me but it ended up being the hottest ticket of the YEAR.

reply

It is still a toss-up if it is bigger than The Super Mario.

But when the biggest movies are so ... juvenile, it is kind of sad.

reply

I agree. Mario was garbage

reply

This will get lots of repeat views from the girls and gays who have pink costumes. Will have to expand on New Years.

reply
