No razzie for this?

Was this abomination of a movie not qualified? At least Worst Director was well earned. For me the worst blockbuster advertised movie last year. (but i have skipped The Meg 2 and Expandables)

reply

Yes. Iā€™m shocked. Razzies have turned into shit many years ago. It's used to be trolling award who nominated serious and famous actors and mocked them when they made movie. And they actually took it serious and were hurt and humiliated when it happened. And if was the most fun part.

And then for some reason they started nominating c-list actors and movie no one heard of. And lost it's relevance since no one cared about it anymore.

This movie should have got Worst Movie, Worst Actress, Wort Director, Worst Couple, Worst Screen Chemistry, Worst Team

the actors/filmmakers learned that if you embrace it, it looses it negative connotations.

I have no doubt that the Statham movies most of the time embrace being bad, but Rebel Moon tries SOOOO hard to be a good movie and Zack Snyder is seriously convinced to be a genius. This is for me a total Razzie candidate. Statham movies no one expect much except a action filled time. Not sure if Meg 2 fulfill it, I only know that Expendables for sure not did it. So I can also understand the nominations, but no one ever expected ANYTHING from Expendables 4, but Rebel Moon people really hoped to get something better.

true

reply

That's it. And if a nominee actually turns up in person to receive their Razzie they get lauded for it as 'a good sport'.

reply

Oh, Meg 2 is also a strong razzie candidate.

reply

Meg 2 should not be there at all. Since everyone knows Jason Statham are brainless action-fest and he is not an actor.

Razzies power was when they nominated actors who took themselves serious and made one bad movie. Or movies who took themslves serious. Like this one. Rebel Moon absolutely had to be for worst picture, director and actress. And also "every supporting character" since they all were awful.

Agree. This movie was awful. Meg 2 was much better than this.
