Other villains that could have worked in Nolan's trilogy

Villains that we have seen in Nolan's films were Scarecrow, Ra's Al Ghul, Falcone, Victor Zsasz (cameo in Batman Begins), The Joker, Maroni, Two-Face, Bane and Catwoman (was not actually a villain). But here are who else could have worked in Nolan's universe.

-Riddler
-Black Mask
-Deadshot
-Penguin
-Harley Quinn
-Deathstroke
-Hugo Strange
-Firefly

I was actually hoping he would use the Black Mask, but Bane and Talia al Ghul worked out very well who are such iconic villains as are Cottilard and Hardy's portrayals.

Nolan said from the beginning he wouldn't be using the Penguin as he doesn't fit in the universe he created.

reply

lol no they didnt

reply

Lol yes they did

reply

thats why nobody talks about Bain anymore? and Talia? who was that actress again? oh right no one remembers. and yet Heath is still a legend?

reply

Plenty of people talk about Bane (lol you’re too retarded to know how to spell it) and Talia Al Ghul is one of the most iconic villains in comic book history.

reply

yes in the comic book. not that movie. how many people dressed up as Talia and still do?? who still talks about Nolans Bane?

who says "wow, those were some of the most iconic villains I ever saw"

almost no one. Bane is now a caricature joke due to his silly voice

Here you go numb nuts plenty of people talking about Bane. Whether or not he is as popular as the Joker is a non sequitur you logical fallacy dumbass

reply

LOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLL a HBO max video to promote their app/ channel. with only 600 comments hjahahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahah

soo elts see

300k views and 600 comments

meanwhile the same HBo "best of Joker video"
https://youtu.be/lNLmk7CPtOw

1.7 million views. 1400 comments. I rest my case

reply

You said no one talks about Bane I just proved you wrong you moron.

Also I clearly said that comparing him to the Joker is irrelevant and a logical fallacy. Stay on point dingleberry

reply

wow a video on YouTube had some body. LOLLLLLLLLL does no one in the entire world have to talk about it?

it is relevant because I constantly argued TDKR is mediocre and the joker was better. cry again sissy

reply

You said no one ever talked about Bane, if I can prove at least one person talks about Bane then that means your premise is debunked. The number of people who I showed talking about Bane is irrelevant and a non sequitur.

Your premise was that TDKR was a bad movie, arguing that TDK is another non sequitur and even I already stated the data says TDK is better.

Geez you suck at this.

reply

yes hyperbole. to think I meant "no one ever in the world talks about bane ever"

you would have to be literally retarded.

like beyond a retard. bordering on vegetable. are you this retarded? man up for once?

reply

That’s exactly what you said, so what are you saying now? That I shouldn’t take you seriously anymore?

reply

you took a hyperbolic comment as literal? get checked for autism. its actually a sign of it

reply

Got it so I shouldn’t take you seriously, thanks for conceding numb nuts

Black Mask, to me, made a lot of sense for the third film because the first was the mob, the second was the Joker/mask villains, and the third might have been a synthesis of those two. I understand why he went with the villains he did, but Black Mask seemed an obvious fit.

I was also kinda hoping that he'd have given Scarecrow more of a payoff in the third one after using him more as Jonathan Crane than his alter-ego (kinda like what we got with Two-Face).

Riddler is a little too "small-time" for the epic scope Nolan was always aiming for, and Harley Quinn would need a lot of re-tooling to work, I think.

Deadshot would've fit in perfectly, though. Zsasz would've been awesome as a Zodiac Killer type character - a Batman movie where he's actually a detective...imagine the possibilities...

What about Anarky? He could've expanded on the hockey pad-wearing dudes in TDK and had Batman basically fighting an evil version of himself.

It might have been interesting to see him tackle some of the weirder foes, too. Like, how would Nolan ground Poison Ivy? She could be an eco-terrorist with no plant powers. Could he handle Man-bat or Clayface without breaking the universe?

reply

Monstrous villains like Man-Bat or Clay-Face would had been a no-go. Too fantastical. Poison Ivy could had just been a rogue scientist turned eco-terrorist. Oddly she would had complimented Ras Al Ghul probably better than Scarecrow.

reply

Eh the thing is though after the events of TDK it makes sense that the mob wouldn’t be a serious threat in the 3rd film. I’m glad he chose Bane and Talia al Ghul, two very competent and iconic villains but in the new incarnation of Batman I hope we see the Black Mask.

reply

definitely the riddler. really methodical like the one in the animated series, i think that would have worked very well.

reply

Well we got a pretty good version of the Riddler in The Batman so at least there’s that.

reply

All of them good choices. Anarky could had been interesting;he could probably carry his own movie.

reply

I was hoping to see Egg Head. He is my favorite Batman villain

reply

Eggcellent

reply

I think a version of Mr Freeze could've worked too honestly. Maybe the Mad Hatter as well? I also agree with the comments throwing in Anarky. It'd be really cool to see him in live action.

reply

Nolan explained that he wanted each movie’s main villain to be distinct. Ra Al Ghul was more spiritual. Joker was psychological, and Bane was physical
