Still Better than Prometheus

Could used some black goo tho

reply

I liked Prometheus significantly more.

reply

Agreed, Prometheus is incomparably better.

reply

But is it better than Jurassic World:Dominion?

reply

Oh, I think I’ve seen that one! Isn’t that the movie about grasshoppers?

reply

No no

reply

How about we all just agree they were both disappointments?

reply

Sorry, man, but saying it's better than Prometheus is like saying "better than Battlefield Earth".

Yuck.

reply

Most movies are.

I liked prometheus, if it was just a stand alone Sci fi movie I think it would have gotten better reviews. I don't like it as a tie in to the alien universe but as a stand alone Sci fi movie I thought it was great.

The first time I watched Prometheus I didn't even know I was watching an Alien franchise movie. I didn't even know I was watching Prometheus. I stopped while channel surfing because the production value was off the charts and the visuals were stunning.

Then I became aware of how brain numbingly dumb it was. I watched to the end, because of the sunk cost fallacy, and I deeply regretted it. It is bottom tier bad.

When I checked the boards to see what others thought, I saw a lot of people felt the same as I did. I also saw a lot of this counter-argument in support of the movie. The idea that those that didn't like it were Alien fanboys that didn't have their expectations met - all while ignoring the glaring, obvious, and well documented problems with the movie.

You’re full of shit

reply

If you say so.

reply

Prometheus is a flawed but still excellent film, imo, while 65 is deeply flawed as well as being complete shit.

reply

I was just happy too watch a g rated scifi movie with my kid to be honest. Yea it is kinda shit lol. its like a long twilight zone episode. I didnt pay to see it

i am very deeply disappointed by Prometheus. And for me personally, the marketing was very misleading . Although i still find the lore used (and not used) interesting

reply

I agree with you in that 65 is a film I would enjoy watching with my nephews, if only to experience the suspense they feel watching dinosaurs and creepy crawlies terrorize our protagonist.

reply

Wow, that is such a low bar to clear
