Agreed! I didn't see the trailers but I knew it was a Jason Statham movie, so I knew what I was running into. All in all, a fun cheek-in-tongue movie, good when there is nothing better to watch. And what you mention about the FBI girl... spot on! I mean, when I saw that "thicc" behind going up a flight of stairs all I could think is "no way on earth she's a field operative". Just finished watching it and honestly, I enjoyed it. And yes, it felt a bit long, but still enjoyable. Damn.... I don't want to come out as a hater, but I am around 1 hour into the movie and that's exactly the vibe I'm getting. For a moment I thought this was a Disney movie, and had to run a quick web search to find out that apparently it isn't, even if it has all the markings. Sooooo.... 100% agree. Woke garbage. Sorry, man, but saying it's better than Prometheus is like saying "better than Battlefield Earth". Yuck. I just managed to sit through the entire thing. In my humble opinion, this movie makes the Twilight saga look like Bram Stoker's Dracula. Yes, this is how bad this thing is. You summarized my thoughts pretty well. I's like to add 2. Isn't the "can't stand the sunlight" thing a dead giveaway that something's not right? I believe most religions align goodness and righteousness with light and bad + evil with darkness... right? How comes it doesn't ring a single person's bells?? Or is this movie supposed to be taking place in some alternate universe? Reviews, for once, are spot on. This crap is as bad as it gets. I agree, specially when you say it's too long. I still have 46 minutes to go and I came to see if anybody else found this movie kinda boring and way, way, wayyyyyy too long. Thanks! Agreed! I had a good time watching it, and only God knows how many movies failed that simple task :) Agreed. This "Se7en" wannabe ended at 2; in fact, calling this movie 'mediocre' is a compliment. What really irks me is that I feel that this movie had great potential but at the end it all went down the toilet. On one hand, Denzel acting in full auto-pilot mode. On the other hand, Rami: he was the miscast of the year. I loved his Freddie Mercury but his cop felt as authentic as the "Village People" policeman. I think this one is going to score really high in my list of 2021 bad movies. View all replies >
