I saw it I liked it

Same here. I also liked the movie.

If "its not a marvelised movie" is now a sign of quality, I feel deeply sorry. The movie has good aspects, without a question, but Edwards can't make movies. The world of the movie does not make sense at all outside the movie and thus stopping the movie from becoming great. It has stunning pictures for sure, but everything else is just worth a Twilight Zone Story. Thats also why the end does not work at all, Twilight Zone/Outer Limits/Black Mirror had cut to black after Nepal, which had been saved the movie the bullshit dream ending.

But The Creator aside (props to Gareth Edwards), At LEaSt THiS WasNt a MaRv…. Really? How about that. But I mean yea, if only the majority of films released this year weren’t those unkewl cinema snob-disapproved big bad Marvel films.

Oh, if not those films still occupying the minds of their uber kewl detractors, then it’s some other unoriginal property that’s reflective of lousy modern Hollywood overall? Well good for you, kewl ones. On that note, damn the latest Saw entry ruled hard 😎

I also saw it and I suppose I liked it. It was kind of alright. I did feel it was a bit soulless and flat though, like the characters were all rather bland and serious. Also the ending dragged and was rather predictable.

I liked it enough to regret not having seen it on the big screen with ear piercing volume 😔

Overall I enjoyed it, 6/10. The story was interesting enough for me in this early AI world we are in - though it didn't bring anything really new to the table and was pretty predictable.

The thing that was most confusing to me was why the army needed Washington's character at all. They knew where the child was located and then they were all worried about disrupting the local country and don't get caught type of stuff, but then 30 minutes later they are destroying a city with a gigantic tank and "nuking" dozens of other countries. Also, it didn't make sense why Nomad was such a big deal. A large ship, which looked like it could be easily destroyed with a missile, that had some slow gigantic scanner to drop bombs was somehow a game changer in the war?
