Cage Is Barely In It

The plot with the cops and drug dealers wasn't put into the trailer at all and you can see why. It distracts from anything having to do with Cage and Renfield dealing with Cage. They barely even have scenes together.

I found it entertaining, but the subplot with the police was completely unnecessary and Cage definitely needed more screen time as he was the best part of the movie

reply

The script was weak so they added another story line and Cop sub plot. Didn't work.

reply

That sounds extremely disappointing.

reply

So they put the best moments in the trailer. I had a suspicion that would happen.

reply

Yes, they did. That took away some of the punch from those scenes as I had seen them a few times already.

reply

Figures. Is it better or worse than Cocaine Bear? I didn't mind that movie but was left with the same impression.

reply

Personally I did not care for Cocaine Bear at all. I walked out. This is better but it’s promoted as a Nic Cage flick but it’s not.
It will stream in a week or so, just wait.

Not unusual for Dracula to have little screentime. Hammer used to do it all the time.

reply

The first 10 minutes were great, but then it all goes downhill quick once the cop subplot is introduced and takes up the majority of the runtime.

reply

that's exactly what I said elsewhere. What a major disappointment.
