Because i don't remember any astronomers going around on all the TV Networks saying that a comet was heading our way and was going to kill everybody. Also if a Planet Killer hit, i don't think there be anyone here to make a movie about it. Seriously how this based on Real Events.

it doesn't even say REAL EVENTS.

it does say Based on TRULY POSSIBLE events - which is, I think, supposed to be a humorus take on these type of movies.

all fiction could be truly possible. doesnt mean real events
