shareThe downside of incest are the results. If the end result is a pregnancy, the baby will end up being a mutant, kind of like what we saw in HotD. Mixing the same genes is just not a good idea, whereas, with homos, they can't get each other pregnant. So, what's the big loss? None really...
Then there's the question of morality which is more or less an opinion. I don't really care if two distant cousins bang each other but I don't think it would be good for brother and sister, father/daughter, mother/son... etc..
It might not be immoral but not the best option in the long run.
Trans people are an anomaly for the most part but not a real threat to anyone. If that's the way they want to live, so be it. Personally, I just don't recommend trying to change your gender since it's impossible. I honestly think they will come up with a better treatment for people that think they're the opposite sex.
I do agree that the media seems to promote odd things like this while making anything associated with the patriarchy seem bad. It's stupid but what can you expect, they've made this stuff their life mission. It's become a religion for some people.
It is not the job of a piece of media to be an upstanding moral citizen, only to tell an engaging story.

Aegon doesn’t seem to be happy marrying his sister, Haleana. In fact, they are both very miserable.
