shareRey uses the book of Jedi spells she got from Luke in TLJ to experimentally open a force time portal.
Kylo Ren surprises her, breaking into her layer. Battle commences and they both crash through the portal Rey opened and are hurtled back into the distant past.
The fight breaks up and Rey heads off becoming the first Jedi, Kylo the first Sith.
That sounds pretty good, actually.
shareAfter introducing that book in TLJ, I genuinely thought, at one point, that's how they may have finished the entire saga in Episode 9...
sharethink there were rumours of time travel for Ep9 for a while with Rey revisiting points in the OT and PT in a BTTF2 type way (she was supposed to see the ESB Luke v Vader fight in TFA)
