Ben Affleck is Done As Batman

Jake Gyllenhaal will take his place

Hopefully, Jake has more of a brain to stay away.

I am trying to figure out if this will be a good thing or bad thing. From the previews of the current film, he doesn't seem interested in the part. But will this be just more negative press for DC. Affleck bails on DC after JL fails to meet even lower end expectations. Puts a lot of pressure on casting and performance of the next Batman film.

reply

Previews? Why haven’t you seen this yet?

reply

Well, its costly to go to theaters so I rarely go. This film based on user response, critics and its own previews does not make we want to spend that extra money to go see it. I will see it eventually when Netflix sends it to my door. Based on previews alone I am more inclined to see Thor 3 but again I rarely go so I will probably see that on disc as well, though most likely before JL.

Life without cinema? I couldn’t do that.

Unfortunately it’s costly to go and few movies warrant the extra cost. Years ago when you had crappy standard def TVs and VHS it was a little more worth it. But today with HDTV and 4K, you are not missing as much.

reply

Not to mention you no longer have to wait FOREVER for a movie to be available for home viewing like in the old days.

reply

I saw it with atmos surround sound.

reply

You’d have to be a right muppet to go near that part at the moment. WB havent got a clue what they are doing. They are trying to please everybody and as the saying goes pleasing nobody.

It's Batman & Robin all over again.

reply

I'm waiting for Maggie Gyllenhaal to return as Rachel Dawes...

reply

Well that would certainly draw attention to the new film :)

Source?

Jake Gyllenhaal can't be batman he's more like a robin. Not to mention he has all those fucking moles on his face. Plus he made love to the joker in broke back mountain.

Seth McFarlene would make a better Batman and especially Bruce Wayne.

Bring back Michael Keaton!

I think there is no way that happens, but I would love to see it. Though I almost spit up my drink when the author mentioned George Clooney.

I really think it would be great. It would create such a cool dymanic between Batman and the rest of the JL with him being 20-30 years older.
