How did Tyrion Know...

I just finished watching Eastwatch for the second time, and I have come to wonder this..
How did Tyrion and all who serve Dany know that Jaime survived the Dothraki/Drogon attack?
Without hesitation, Tyrion suggested to pay Jaime a visit at the Red Keep, without thinking that perhaps he is at the bottom of Challenger Deep. Did I miss something? Let me know what do you guys think.

reply

Tyrion just knew that the armor Jaime was wearing was plot armor ;)

reply

We saw Tyrion searching the battlefield after the skirmish.

reply

I did see Tyrion in the battlefield, but I didn't see any indication that would lead him to believe that Jamie survived.

reply

Dragon's fire literally vaporized soldiers. How could Tyrion tell, that some of those ashes were not Jaime's?

reply

Maybe Varys still has some of his little birds working for him?
Although, if he had, they’d have known about the Anti Dragon Qyburn Scorpio prior to the attack…

So I think I’ll go with ADBruno’s theory.

reply

No way to know really. What's more odd is why after they saw them both jump in the water, why didn't Dany's army pursue them and capture Jaimie. He'd be quite valuable to Cersie as a bargaining chip.

reply

What is even odder is that they fall in the water right there in the middle of the battlefield next to Daenerys and her dragon, but seem to resurface on a different country altogether.

reply

The whole thing was handled in a cartoonish manner.

reply

not only that, we never get to see them eat, shit and sleep. They must be saving a lot of money on food and time on sleep.

reply

There was some time that passed after the battle. If Jaime had died, word would have gotten out.

reply

This would make the most sense. A time stamp before each scene would be helpful wouldn't it? It would definitely help me know how long a damn forth night is. haha.

I think they needed the plot to move from point a to b to c without involving much logic. But if you had to rationalize it my guess is that Tyrion saw the river current take Jamie and Bronn away and didn't tell Dany. And Dany didn't know who it was that was rushing to kill her.

How Bronn saved Jaime from sinking with armor and a gold hand, um, I guess he's wicked strong and Jaime learned how to hold his breath underwater from some random iron borne years earlier.

But yeah, it wasn't the strongest writing.
