Which is better? The Dark Knight or The Dark Knight Rises?
I enjoyed The Dark Knight more, the ending of Rises seemed to be rushed.

shareDark Knight was a little better, more interesting story.
In TDKR, Batman being out of the film for such a long time and trying to get out of the pit over and over again was tough to watch.
Also, they just cut and paste New York City as Gotham City, and that screamed lazy to me. At least attempt to make it look like Gotham City.
Dark Knight by far.
shareRises was bad
shareAgreed; I am surprised this is even up for debate.
TDK is one of the best comic book films ever made; and a damn fine action adventure film in its own rights. The acting is great; the pacing is perfect (never dragging or moving too fast), the music delivers, the script leaves few holes to pull the plot apart, there are many memorable moments and quotes, and the action scenes were choreographed with near perfection. In fact I try to struggle to not rate this film 10/10, which I usually do not ever give comic book movies; but TDK is so much like ESB in that they are both as close to perfect action films as you can get.
TDKR is not even a good movie; let a alone a good batman film and an unworthy follow up to TDK. The pacing is terrible; the filming location (Pittsburgh) is a jarring change from Chicago, the plot is riddled with holes or at least bothersome questions (magical knee brace, magical healing back, Bruce getting back to Gothem and magically survives nuclear explosion, last battle no one bothers using guns electing to fist fight instead, etc), Bane is reduced to a glorified henchmen in the last minutes, Tilia Al Ghul reveal was empty and pointless, even the acting was seriously stunted compared to TDK.
I am struggling to find a way to think that the 2 films are even comparable.
The Dark Knight.
shareFor me, it's a no-brainer, "The Dark Knight"
shareTDK is more fun. A shame it doesn't get played as much as TDKR.
