Ezra Miller NOT fired from the Flash, despite criminal charges and other accusations

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v16F0MytVCA

On May 9th, ScreenGeek broke the exclusive scoop that Warner were considering replacing Ezra Miller with Dylan O’Brien for the upcoming Flash movie, you know in light of Ezra’s ever mounting legal issues, as well as more recent accusations. Just hours later, a journalist associated with Variety tweeted that he was told that WB are NOT considering replacing Ezra, and then that tweet got picked up everywhere – CBR for instance, got a story out there based on that tweet before Variety did a full writeup.

So, does that mean Ezra is safe, and Warner never considered replacing him? Or this a corporate denial aimed at killing a troublesome story before it got any traction?

We shall see, for in this editorial, @AndreEinherjar will begin by going through the articles referenced, and the timeline of events, from which some inferences can be made – and finally, he’ll reiterate what we’ve heard from our own sources.

Big mistake WB. Big mistake.

reply

How can you fire him when the movie's basically already done?

"According to Deadline, Warner Bros has decided to call it quits with Ezra Miller's Flash in the DCEU following the release of The Flash next year."

I guess they're just gonna ride out the storm until it's released.

reply

I think they're still deciding whether to reshoot the movie with another actor, or send Miller off to rehab and hope he'll be able to pull off an apology tour next year.

The studio doesn't have any good options here. They've spend an unholy fortune on a DC movie starring an actor who sucked in his first go at the character, and any attempt to fix this mess will mean investing another unholy fortune in a project that's never been better than dubious. Heads are going to roll!

Heads are going to roll!

Hopefully only in the metaphorical sense with the way this guy is going

reply

Apparently Miller has shown off a lot of guns, but no machetes or axes.

So far.

reply

Apparently, there's petition out there to replace Miller with Ellen/Elliott Page. Something tells me the studio is not going to give in to that one.

Why the hell don't the movie studios do background checks on actors, before putting them into movies that cost hundreds of millions of dollars each? I mean Miller wasn't even GOOD in the role, and now crap like this is coming out!

He was terrible as the Flash, he needs to be locked up after his crazy behavior.

reply

Should have replaced him with Dylan and reshot.

Discovery/Warner cancelled Batgirl because they’re all about not doing anymore damage to the brand (like Wonder Woman 1984 did) so why are they still keeping Miller?

With Dylan O’Brien, Michael Keaton’s return as Batman (people love nostalgia) and the last appearance of Ben Affleck’s Batman I think this could have breakout box office success, something they haven’t had in the DCEU since 2018’s Aquaman.

reply

Dylan would have been like the Michael J. Fox to Ezra's Eric Stoltz.

reply

Not yet, but he probably will be.

So after the assaults on multiple women, kidnappings, the guns, and every disgusting thing this nutjob has done they're still releasing the movie...i hope it bombs like nothing ever has before, i hope theres protestors outside of every theater against it.

I hope the fucking company burns to the ground for choosing to go forward with this movie with their criminal psychopath lead actor whos playing a character we're supposed to like and root for.
