reply

thats the same age i was this movie had a massive following we saw it so many times in the theatres.

reply

Yes, I did.

reply

Sure did.

reply

Yeah. Me and my family saw it when it came out.

reply

Only everybody that was alive in 92.

reply

Yeah, I think everyone on the planet who could get to a movie theater saw this film, maybe a few nomads in outer Mongolia missed it.

I saw it in a theater like everyone, and I loved it!

reply

I'm not sure about those Mongols. I think they saw it too in a tent. How could they miss it? Greatest Disney movie ever!

reply

Oh, the nomadic Mongols had to wait for the VHS tape!

reply

No dude, they had one guy with the reels and projector riding around the various gers in the grasslands. But they couldn't wait for VHS, they all saw it in 92 like everybody else.

reply

Sure did, I laugh that Disney now has a content warning label on the movie for Disney Plus.

reply

I'm surprised they didn't cancel it outright, and hire more pedophiles.
That's their MO these days.

Pedophiles good, free thinking strong woman, bad.

reply

Yes, I saw it with my nieces and nephew. I had a bad experience, too, at that particular theater.

reply

I think almost everyone who was a little kid in America at that time saw this in theaters. One of my earliest movie going experiences. Most of the specific movie experience is pretty hazy but I distinctly remember watching the opening scene with the storyteller (along with the audience laughing at the jokes) & the Cave of Wonders segment.

reply

It's interesting the movies that we can remember going to see when we were kids.

I remember this one. I also remember going to see Batman '89, The Rocketeer, Dances With Wolves, Dick Tracy, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Driving Miss Daisy, North and White Fang.

I guess my earliest movie memories start right there at the very end of the 80s. I'm sure my parents took me to see some things before that, but if they did, the memory has evaporated.
