Why Americans think "Get To The Choppa!" is a classic line?

Is this a language barrier? I'm not from english speaking country.

In my country's forum, people discuss the same question, yet no one knows why the line is classic and generate tons of meme.

reply

Its chopper, not choppa

reply

No, he's right. It's choppa.

reply

Go look in a dictionary. Its spelled chopper

reply

...you don't get it.

reply

But I do get it. Check out the spelling in the dictionary

reply

Yeah, no. You really don't get it. Probably because you can't get any..

reply

But I do get it and heres the proof that the word choppa is supposed to be chopper

reply

No, you really, really don't get it.

reply

I keep telling you, I really really do get it. And posted the link as evidence

reply

Suit yourself. A smart fella would take heed when others are bothered with their welfare.

reply

Actually, you posted evidence of the contrary.
Like we're all saying - you really, really don't get it.

reply

Spelling has always been a strength of mine. Won several spelling bees growing up

reply

Don't doubt it and it is also a passion of mine.

However, doesn't change the fact that, my friend... you're not getting it.

reply

Can't tell if you're trolling or autistic.

reply

It's not the line that is classic ,it's Arnold's delivery of it.

reply

Right. It's the way he said it with his accent. No American would have sounded as cool. Plus it was the 80s when 1 liners were king.

reply

One-liners have been dominant since the 30s. I know you never heard of Vaudeville or the Marx Brothers or Abbot and Costello. You certainly do not know Henny Youngman, the King of the one-liners: “Take my wife—please!”

That’s a TRUE one-liner, with the setup and the punchline all in 1 sentence.

The crap that you call “one-liner” is an amusing quip. It’s not a joke.

reply

It's in the pronunciation. Like "I'll be back"

reply

Probably has to do with the low intelligence average of your country.

reply

Fuck your whole fucking life, you piece of shit.

reply

You and sonans from the same America-hating country?

reply

I’m American.

And Sonans never showed any hate.

reply

Perhaps you are correct. Re-reading the OP, I see how it might not have been typical "Why are Americans so _____?" Thanks for the uhhh.... thanks for .... hmmm. Just thanks, I guess.

reply

It's not a classic line. Only bad parodies or stupid people would reference such a forgettable line

Americans are just so uncultured that they find lines spoken in a thick accent amusing

reply

See, this^ is the attitude I thought the OP had.

Are you of the same mind, OP? Or did I misread you?
