What if Linda Hamilton (as a female terminator) were sent back to 1984 to kill Arnold Schwarzenegger (as a human)? That might make for an interesting set up!

Although given this new de-aging tech they seem to have - coupled with Arnies robot acting delivery , I bet it'd be pretty easy to get a fully CGI Arnie of the right age , anf then just throw Arnie a royalty check

The more you think about it how many six foot ripped, Austrian dudes have to shoot shit up in public until people start pointing fingers, T2 they were already on to him the guy who shot up the police station was in the mail.
Similar problem with liquid metal Terminators who can mimic anything, why would they have a locked in character they always play? Why not switch from personality to personality? You would never see them coming but that's too confusing.
One of the worst things to come out of Genisys and Dark Fate is just how done Arnie as the Terminator, his character has done all that he's been asked to do and is too old, CG de-aging is too expensive.

He was so threating and great in the original, both he and James Cameron knew him playing a robot would play the best to his strengths. Only reason he was in T2 because he was such a massive star, Terminator launched his career into the stratosphere and making his T800 the good guy was the last official chance to his character, if we ever see his T800 again i9t would have to be a new model and be evil again, but T3, Genisys and Dark Fate had to drag that good guy Terminator through the dirt, it's not interesting, fun or cool anymore and he's so old.
