Seen it a dozen times as both a kid and adult.

Meh

It's odd that you would watch a movie that you rated "meh" a dozen times.

I definitely remember the teachers popping this movie into the VCR when I was in school every single year. Didn't really have a choice and my classmates seemed to love it.

I have to agree that it's a tad bit overrated, but still enjoyable nonetheless. I just prefer movies like "Christmas Vacation" (1989) and "Home Alone" (1990) over "A Christmas Story" (1983).

I usually don't watch overrated movies a dozen times.

Well it definitely has worn out its welcome with me. I just have seen it way too many times and I am sure that it will be on at my sister's home tomorrow, so I will have to endure it once again.

I like it more as an adult than I did as an adult. Then again the only kind of movies I wanted to watch as a kid were action and horror.

I disagree, this is one of my all time favorite Christmas movies, I watched it tonight with my mom and sister.
