This was my "go-to" Friday movie growing up.
With Part V right behind. They have a number of similarities: Overweight characters, 50s throwback characters, outhouse scenes and final showdowns that take place inside a barn.

shareSame!!! I absolutely love this one! I never meet anyone else that likes part 5 as well, and it’s awesome! I think I know what I’m watching after I dry my hair, lol..
shareYeah 3, 5, and 8 are the best to watch when you just want to sit back and be entertained.
shareI like this one but don't care much for Part 5. That's the only one I skip when watching the series. Part 6 basically ignores it.
shareI saw this one in the theater but I know it was in 1988. I even bought a 3D poster of it in the lobby on the way out that I kept for years. It just seems odd that they would be showing it again 6 years after it’s release.
shareMy go to was 4, 2 and 3. In that order of preference. The 'Human Jason' trilogy as I called it. Parts 4 and 2 are amongst my top 5 most watched films of all time.
1 & 5 have become increasingly rewatched over the years too.
This was the one that I grew up seeing the most. it was on HBO all of the time when I was very little.
I saw this one first. A few years later, when I saw the first two, I was pretty shocked to learn that Jason wasn't in the first one and when he did arrive in the second one, he simply wore a bag over his head.
2 is probably my favorite in terms of atmosphere
share3 always bugs me due to the 3d and if you watch the 2d version the picture quality sucks.
