Theres a stage magician called Rudy Colby who does an awesome version of it too.

The editing was terrible. My guess is originally the duel between Luke and Vader was going to be on Dagobah. Lucas changed his mind and decided to have it take place on Bespin. The scene on Dagobah should have been cut but somehow managed to stay in the film. Lucas obviously also changed his mind on who was to win the duel because Vader was destroyed on Dagobah

In Star Wars death doesn’t mean what it means in the real world. Darth Maul, Boba Fett, Palpatine, etc. all came back from the dead. It’s because Lucasfilm realized how popular those characters would be with the fan base that they decided to unkill them so people would continue to pay money to see Star Wars movies.

When did Darth Vader come back from the dead? Wait, are you telling me that in the last Star Wars movie which I refused to see cause I hated the idea of the Emperor surviving Return of the Jedi, that it also had Darth Vader surviving too thus making the finale of Return of the Jedi pointless!? How dare they! Stupid jerks!

You mean this seriously?
The cave is full of the dark side, that is also the reason why Yoda is hiding there. Yoda is a strong light side user. If his power wouldn't be basically neutralized by the cave, there would be a huge welcome sign for Vader outside of Dagobah.

So what does the cave do? It tries to seduce you to the dark side, to follow your hate and fear. That is why Luke wasn't ready yet, as he was not able to withstand his fear for Vader and attacked first. That is also why in Vader's helmet Luke's head was - he was about to follow his dad's footsteps. When Luke fighted against Vader on Bespin, he realized he was succumbing his fears again and did the only wise and jumped. If he had not jumped, Vader had been able to convince him to follow the dark side. That's why the cave was an important step in Luke's way to become a Jedi.
He did not return to Yoda, because he was ashamed and not ready. By returning to Yoda, he showed he was finally ready to become a Yedi. Only with all this training and learnings he was able to not get succumbed by the dark side by Vader.

Why is the cave full of the dark side? No one knows, but most likely a powerful dark side user was killed here long time before the movie events.

I think you misunderstood the entire scene

The Cave of Evil, also known as the dark-side cave, was a large and living dark side vergence located under a gnarltree on the swamp planet of Dagobah. Entering the cave subjected entrants to the vergence's control, projecting their worst fears as apparitions and illusions.
