Is this movie overrated?

After all the Ritalin and assurances that you're special just the way you are, yeah, this movie probably seems "slow."

Is there an Action/Horror movie where the characters don't behave stupidly?? Hell, you would've hated PROMETHEUS for how stupid some of those characters were??

As far as I saw, they behaved quite good. Ash, as instructed by the company, bypassed security protocols enforced by Ripley which actually could have saved everyone.

Stupid decision-making is a key part of horror! Otherwise, not much would happen.

I do not think so, it is a very good movie.
In my opinion there are some good made suspense sequences.

No, Aliens is overrated.

It is perfectly good, actually I liked it even more since the last time when I watched it, because I was looking more at the details. Frame by frame perfection. I like how well it ages. With these CRT screens and other outdated tech it looks even more in its own peculiar sci-fi universe.

I don't think that the characters were doing anything stupid. They did the best they could in an extreme and quickly developing situation. If people were always doing the smartest things possible, many great catastrophes would have been averted.

What the alien was doing at the end, I have no explanation. I prefer to think that it was masturbating, while Ripley was running around naked. I like the scene for its weirdness.

I have seen a lot of reactors react to Alien and it seems like people like it still so it does hold up.
