I wonder how the Oscars are even going to work going forward. The traditional theater experience is probably dead, so I guess streaming only movies will fill the docket. The original movies aren't across platforms, but specific to a service (e.g. Netflix, Amazon, Disney). most people only subscribe to one or two services, and many don't subscribe to any. So, going forward, Oscar winners will be movies that most people haven't seen and probably never will. the Irishman was nominated for something like 10 Oscars. Who actually saw it? Does anyone even talk about it anymore?

On IMDb alone it has more than 300.000 ratings, which is more than Moonlight. Moonlight that actually won best picture and was a cinema release only.
I think Marriage Story was also nominated and it was about divorce, not marriage. It was just Black Widow and Kylo Ren yelling at each other for 2 hours.

I doubt she going be in any Oscar winning movie. But a lot of best picture winner are boring and forgettable anyways. Seriously when was last time anyone watched Out of Africa or Slumdog Millionaire. Or saw 1999 best picture winner "American Beauty" about a Pedo, staring notorious real pedo Kevin Spacey and said "yeah this hasn't aged badly at all and it was never pretentious"
