And if you're curious, ask who had the film, who got to see it and report on it first (hint, he got a nice anchor job), who pressed for it's release and when did it finally come out.

Would you respect my opinion on the matter if I just told you to read Posner's Case Closed which proves Lifton was lying? Probably not. So why would you just rest your case on telling people to read Lifton?
Various people are incredulous that Lifton would make such stupid claims he had no reason to believe were true. The cornerstone of Lifton's case is that people were able to steal JFK's body out from under the eyes of the honor guard and then perform numerous alterations to the corpse.
Lifton acts like he thinks his readers are idiots.
You asked where the allegation came from, I told you about a book that dealt with it.
