Basically, the Taylor Swift of the 1990s. Is that an accurate statement?

Well?

Not really. Alanis only hit it big with one album for a start. Alanis was also a little more visceral than Taylor.

reply

Not a good comparison.

reply

No.

reply

Not even close.

reply

Jewel would be closer as she wrote a shitload of songs in the 1990s.

reply

No, because songs written by Alanis Morissette have actual tunes and Taylor Swift written songs just go bla bla bla, monotone, vapid, trite, shitty lyrics for fourteen year olds.

reply

Isn't Alanis just a younger version of Sheryl Crow?

reply

No.

reply

Crow was more soft-rock than pop. Crow also drifted a bit into country mid-career. Crow is more of Tom Petty

reply

You mean they're both annoying?
