MovieChat Forums > Alec Baldwin Discussion > Baldwin SUES over Rust tragedy

So he's suing an unemployable person with no money? When he was one of the producers who gave the armorer no safety tools to do her job with, such as a gun safe?

He is such a fucking low-life douche!

He is a super star! One of the very few movie stars left. An icon. Divined, God like, Elite.

I think he was being sarcastic.

The only "safety tool" anyone there needed was a brain and eyes to check the gun to make sure it wasn't loaded with live rounds. Any five-year-old could do it.

I'd still like to know how live bullets got mixed in with blanks. Was it the armorer? Did it happen in the ammunition factory? Still so many questions.

What I want ot know is in the scene being set up, how was this gun to be used, by who, and who was the intended target/performer. Perhaps this was a set up for an accidental-on-purpose murder as it appears Baldwin handled the weapon prior to even rehersing, let alone filming the scene.

I think the problem with that theory is that the shot that killed Hutchins was a very long odds shot. She was positioned behind the camera and Baldwin (reportedly) did not aim down the barrel to sight the camera (or Hutchins), but shot from the hip so to speak at the general direction of the camera.

So if someone wanted Baldwin to kill someone by sneaking in a live round, the odds of him first hitting someone from 10-20 feet away and then killing the is a long shot.

I think this was a cluster-F of incompetence from many people, but I believe it was purely a tragic accident.

Deflection! Probably tactical advice from his lawyers.
