What's his magnum opus?

What's his greatest work of his career, for you? And do you think he will surpass it?

Personally, it's Goodfellas (1990). It's perfect. The performances are great, the music/score is fantastic & the writing is amazing.

And 33 years later, it's still freaking incredible.

I think there isn't. Definately NOT Goodfellas. I like his smaller scale movies, like After Hours and The King of Comedy.

It's between Taxi Driver, Raging Bull and Goodfellas.

I would pick Taxi Driver.

I'd say Mean Streets, Taxi Driver and Goodfellas are his best with King of Comedy and After Hours being underrated.

It's definitely Goodfellas.

Goodfellas.

Goodfellas. Obviously.

Scorsese started out pretty well....Mean Streets, Taxi Driver & Raging Bull. But since then (other than 'After Hours') his movies have been mostly garbage....ESPECIALLY Goodfellas (and don't get me started on his 'works' with DiCaprio)

So, all-in-all, I'd have to say 'Taxi Driver' (is what I remember him...and DeNiro for)
