Raging Tom Cruise warns Mission: Impossible crew they’re ‘f***ing gone’ if they break Covid rules on set

Tom Cruise tore into workers who broke Covid rules on the set of Mission: Impossible screaming: “If I see you doing it again, you’re f***ing gone.”

The Hollywood megastar has worked tirelessly behind the scenes to enforce tight social-distancing rules during the filming, taking place in Britain.

And he flew into a rage after spotting two of the crew standing within two metres of each other.

An audio tape captured Cruise shouting: “If I see you do it again, you’re f***ing gone. And if anyone in this crew does it, that’s it — and you too and you too. And you, don’t you ever f***ing do it again.”

Fifty members of staff at Warner Bros. Studios in Leavesden, Herts, were left stunned by the angry outburst.

Two of the crew stood less than a metre away from each other at a computer screen.

Cruise, 58, was furious all his efforts to keep filming going during the pandemic could be at risk.

He went on: “They’re back there in Hollywood making movies right now because of us. “We are creating thousands of jobs, you motherf***ers.

“That’s it. No apologies. You can tell it to the people that are losing their f***ing homes because our industry is shut down. “

"We are not shutting this f***ing movie down. Is it understood? If I see it again, you’re f***ing gone.”

The latest instalment of the franchise, Mission: Impossible 7, has already been hit with a host of Covid-related delays as cast and crew travel around Europe.

In October, the Top Gun actor held crisis talks with the film’s director Christopher McQuarrie, 52, days after 12 people on set in Italy were said to have tested positive.

Up to 150 extras were told not to come in to shoot scenes in Venice as health chiefs traced contacts of those who had tested positive.

After returning to the UK two weeks ago, Cruise has personally tried to ensure there are no more delays.

He has been pictured wearing a mask on set and keeps a constant eye out for rule-breakers.

He even personally paid £500,000 for an old cruise ship for the cast and crew to isolate on.

A source said: “Tom has taken it upon himself, along with the health and safety department, to try to force the safety precautions, with a view to keeping the film running.

“He does daily rounds to make sure that everything is set up appropriately, that people are behaving and working as safely as they can. He is very proactive when it comes to safety.”

They added: “Everyone was wearing masks. It was purely that these people were standing under a metre away from each other.

“It isn’t known whether he saw those guys breaking the rules before or whether this was the straw that broke the camel’s back.

“People make mistakes and they slip up, but Tom is just on it.”

Mission: Impossible 7 is now set for release in November next year.

Hell yeah, go Tom. This is how you keep businesses open while making sure people are using common sense and proper precautions still unlike certain mayors/governors shutting everything down where people are going out of business. Full audio is in the link as well if you want to hear the whole thing along with that transcript.

doesn't sound fake to me. and seems easily justified. what ISN'T justified is releasing these kind of private incidents for the interweb's court.

Did anyone legally notify him that he was being recorded in a non public location? I'm sure laws were broken and they should sue VERY PUBLICALY to reduce this kind of trash journalism. Especially in a private, locked down studio event. I bet every person there signed an NDA, with lots of privacy clauses.

How the hell did you create an account with [deleted] that keeps your post count hidden and profile unclickable? Makes me want that. :o

ikr?

sounds like he nailed it to me

reply

some people were only one Tom Cruise apart ?

reply

Worst. Only 1 Kevin Hart apart.

reply

His own team leaked it. It makes him look like an alpha leader. And the industry happy someone's trying to keep the ship afloat.

reply

Intentional leak for sure. Great PR.

reply

This is such nonsense. Why would Cruise's people want to publicize trouble on the set? It's going to make insurance claims that much more difficult (which could shut down production).

Five crew members quit today. It was leaked to hurt him.

reply

IDK. Nobody's talking about scientology or couch jumping anymore. I think Tom won himself back a lot of cred.

reply

I've heard heard Tom yell so much in movies I knew exactly what that audio was gonna sound like before it played. Which makes me wonder.... is Tom even acting in his movies?

reply

Personally, I think that coronavirus hysteria is way overblown. But I follow the rules about wearing masks when I am out in public.

That being said, the government has the power to shut down the film production for which Tom Cruise, being a producer and holding a financial stake in the movie, has good reason to be concerned.

So I think Tom Cruise has a point here. It's not so much the lives of people, but their livelihoods that are at stake.

reply

You nailed it. This outburst doesn't mean Cruise is personally a true believer in th covid hysteria, it just means he knows the government will shut down production if there are too many violations. He's just following rules he didn't make or agree to, so people can keep getting paid and living their lives.

reply

I support Tom's rant.

reply

Why? Do you support all manner of pointless things in the world simply to allow the ignorant few to feel safer than they are?

reply

I believe that this is real and agree with him.
