What’s your favourite race?
Me - 100 metres - nice and quick.
share1/4 mile has always been my favorite.

I’ve seen similar things at 2am on burbon street over the years but not quite like that.

shareUnfortunately it’s not the safest place to go drinking these days. I’ve had many adventures there up into the 2000s but the criminal element is strong there now. It’s still packed with tourist daily, but I wouldn’t recommend staying after dark.
shareLike you, I was a "dash man" on the track team in high school, only we referred to those races in yards i.e., 50 and 100 yard dash. After that I became a distance runner. I've already mentioned to you before how I used to do the 10k races. That distance became ideal for me, seemed to fit perfectly into my lifestyle. Training for a marathon is a full time job in itself and it's for people that have desk jobs.
shareI’d always say to the Coach, “I’ve already gone round once, what do I need to go around again for?”. It never worked ☹️
shareI thought "going the extra mile" was exclusively an American metaphor. 😉
shareI got the same response both in England and when I lived in America 😢
shareThis race caught my eye, intrigued me a while back: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqNmN6ug7jWC44CizNzxAdQ
shareLooks too energetic for me, lol.

I’m sure I played that in my youth.
