do you feel you are wasting your time on movie chat?

in a world where people get paid from ideas and social media content?(and how insane and stupid that can be if not educated well and/or have mental health issues)

this is just an empty space like reddit or facebook where your ideas dont really matter and you will not get credit for them and get some kind of revenue from them like youtube or Instagram or tiktok

only thing i like about movie chat is that it's "a little" safer to get crazy and say stupid things because it is traditionally not your social media

Sometimes. I came across a post the other day where a bunch of incels were complaining about how horrible women are. Between shit like that and the multitude of trolls here, it made me want to throw in the towel. Don't get me wrong, there's many cool and interesting people here, but I've noticed this place also attracts a lot of losers with a hateful attitude, due to the loose moderation.

Yeah, but I'm okay with that, life is a waste of time and nothing is really worthwhile, so why not just do things you enjoy without placing value on it?

Yeah and content is the best thing to be. Happiness comes and goes, but stable contentedness should be the end goal.

No - I have been introduced to some great bands and the regulars have suggested hundreds of films that I’ve avidly watched with my daughter.

I’ve even picked up a few tips on places to visit on my travels along with some local delicacies to try 😋

Sometimes. Sometimes I learn about movies I haven't seen. That's always helpful.
