I was sleeping. I live on west coast, so 3 hours behind when it happened. The rest of the day was a bit of blur, but I was in 8th grade and remember everybody glued to the TV screens.

In a Friendly's restaurant with my wife and nephew. I walked up to the cashier to pay my bill and he asked if I heard a second plane hit the towers. I had no idea what he was talking about.

Well, I had only just gotten home from school and was watching TV (I think "Oprah") with my mum.
Then a news text about the planes crashing started crashing over the TV screen.
Spanish class. We were moved into the classroom next door and watched it on the news.
