I don't understand how people can drop $500 - $1000 on a phone and insurance and not buy a case. It makes ZERO sense to use no protection. You drop the phone, the screen shatters, you gotta drop another $200 to get the screen fixed. Buy a case or leave the phone in the box.
shareI have a basic cell phone that I carry for emergencies, such as a car breakdown. I keep it in the bubble-wrapped pouch that was part of the packaging it came in. It works and it was free.
shareFeature phones were the best, especially the ones similar to a blackberry. The thing almost had a full keyboard that was instantly available. No waiting for the glitchy keyboard app to open.
shareI still think the ultimate design was the Droid 2. Full screen and full keyboard, well worth the extra 1/8" of thickness.

shareThere are transparent slim cases, there's tpu covers which is like hard silicone, also pretty thin. At the very least you need the glass screen protector. Ebay is your friend my friend.
shareTpu covers make the exquisitely designed expensive phone looks cheap. I don't know how people handle their phones, but I've only cracked a phone screen once in my entire life and it was my wife's phone.

I love leather cases, but I hate the ones with that big flap. There are some leather cases that only have a lip.

1 CASSETTE TAPE looking thing - people LOVE this one
1 neon bright green for utility
1 3 part plastic protection for industrial use
