best political thriller?
Seven Days in May (1964)
shareI really likes Body of Lies (2008) and while some may not think of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo series (The Millennium Trilogy) as a political thriller but the core of the story is and it's excellent.
shareThe Quiet American (2002).
shareMission: Impossible
shareI saw The Day Of the Jackal (1973) in the theater when it was new. For my age I thought it was very sophisticated and realistic.
share'Black Sheep'.
shareI'm stumped about a film I saw but cannot recall the name, set in the second or perhaps first WW.
I would say it's similar to The Grand Illusion or The Rules of the Game, (B&W and that vintage) but I don't think those are what I'm remembering.
The most vivid part I recall is a man (or two?) is being held and tortured in a room that is adjacent to where a fancy party is going on, and the villain can move from one room to the other without the guests knowing what is going on. I am pretty sure it's a classic but I don't know how to figure it out.
