He played a great character on a great show. RIP
shareI came in contact with Howard in 1981 as he was staying at the Sarasota Hyatt where I worked as he was filming Honky Tonk Freeway. He was the most flamboyant gay man I had ever seen up to that time, it was my welcome to Hollywood moment.

shareI wasn’t aware Frank Bonner, also of WKRP died last year. He was always the one drooling over Loni Anderson’s character. I think most men would drool over her!

RIP. He was great on that show. I liked when he played a teacher too. Can’t remember why he left that series and the Scottish comedian took over.
