Only you can delete your own post. Or it's a moderator because they don't allow politics in general topics.
shareYet the video you posted lumps liberals in with conservatives which is utterly false.
Maybe it's you who hate your body and hate that men like your body.
You're so full of shit. Men (and women) of all walks of life, political beliefs, races, religions, etc., etc., etc., do despicable things. Liberals are no better than conservatives.
sharePolitics belongs on the Politics Board.
shareYeah, all of that exists.
But I put to you this, in the construct of heterosexuality, that maybe the opposite is true. That maybe there are far more men that secretly pine for love, and revere women to such an extent that they become paralyzed. Insecurities, fear of rejection, their own body shame issues etc.
I'm reading your posts. Something has happened and you're seeing through a glass darkly.
I don't have faith that the issues you're dealing with are going to be worked out here. It's actually dangerous if you're in a frail state of mind.
Just, chin up, it's not as dire as it can sometimes seem.
i have a belief, it's a half-baked, not well thought out idea, but it's an idea nonetheless, and it's one i find myself becoming more and more certain of each day.
and it's that women who find living among men so onerous and awful really should go off and be somewhere where they never have to be around men.
i don't know how many women actually feel this way. i certainly see enough 'men are trash/kill all men' comments on twitter & occasionally in the real world to believe it's not a trivial number. & if that many women are that miserable and unhappy with having to share time & space with men, then i am all for women having their own israel, or more practically a bunch of little israels.
there are still female separatist communities around from the 70s. not many, but a few. i think we should work toward making more. it would be better for everyone. and i think we should have more gender segregated areas in all our day to day lives, perhaps. it would probably be better for everyone.
i don't think men hate women's bodies, fwtw. i didn't watch the video yet, but frankly, a lot of the female misery seems to come from them liking women's bodies too much. i dunno...
men only like botched surgically enhanced women and underage girls so youre right it would be nice to get away from that as I am neither of those things. then all 4 billion men and boys in the world could continue to compete for the porn women and thotianas and marry them. they will make great wives and life companions for most men.
shareYou are completely wrong. I've always been involved in women my own age or older and some of them expressed the desire to have cosmetic surgery which I emphatically discouraged.
sharePeople of all backgrounds are capable of being shallow. Men are just more open about it because it's a societal norm, and people who they have some superficial characteristics in common with have shaped society, and influenced them from childhood to desire fake women who look like a parody of femininity.
Just as there are women and gay men who only go for guys who are over six feet tall, square jawed, tanned, ripped, and with a full head of thick, perfectly coiffed hair. This may not seem as shallow and damaging a standard to uphold, if in your mind men hold all the power in society.
I would say rich, middle aged and elderly men are the most powerful people, but everyone else falls far below. Rich women, even those who are not deemed physically attractive are still much more respected in this world than a middle class white guy.
It's true that it seems within any class, women are not as respected as the men of similar social standing. I'd like to see a world where people aren't judged solely for their immutable characteristics.
I was born into a working class family, had no father figure growing up, couldn't afford to go to college, have severe mental illness, issues with my body and still I don't feel that the world owes me anything.
Sure, there's a lot I would like to have, but I'd have to beat the odds and become rich and successful.
I distract myself by consuming literature and art. I've made peace with the fact that I'll never be rich or beautiful. I'm not telling you how to live your life, just that buying into the hype around beauty, social status, wealth and opulence et cetera, is just a way to make everyone into a mindless consumer.
Some of the wisest, most down to earth, humble people I've known have been women. Often butch lesbians. Living a life without desire for men, not seeking their approval can lead to fulfillment. I can understand how conflicted it would make someone if they're sexually interested in men, but every guy they meet is shallow.
Delving into literature is definitely a worthwhile and rewarding experience. Especially when you know other people who share that interest and you can discuss it with.
shareBetween the video and the article, I'm not sure which I disagree with more.
shareFeminist and Femininity...a conflict.
It seems that a good deal of feminist feel constrained by femininity and what it is to be feminine.
The young woman's YouTube blog is fundamentally about that. Talking about bodily functions in front of a man is just not ladylike. Some feminist seem frustrated with this.
Sorry to say that this dynamic isn't going to change soon.
Most men want demure ladylike behavior in their mate. While most women prefer brave and physically courageous men. That is just the way it is.
"I just had the biggest crap of my life!" is a sentence that Jackie Kennedy never said to the press.
men hate women no matter what. what is she gets sick. cancer is ew so she should keep her trap shut about that too?
shareNot my father, who stayed with my mother until the end when she died of brain cancer. Five long years and numerous surgeries.
shareYou are associating with the wrong kind of men.
shareHave you considered extensive therapy? 🙄
