Favorite One-Location Movies?

These kinds of movies seem to have a great ratio for me. The first one that comes to mind, and the earliest is "12 Angry Men", as well as: "Le Trou" - a great prison movie. "Rope" is a good one that is in real-time (not as good as the aforementioned though)

bed - just like it sounds. a hipster couple stays home and goofs off in bed all day. i liked it.
melvin goes to dinner - bob odenkirk directed film about people going to dinner. it's been a few years, but i'm pretty sure they never leave the restaurant table. wouldn't swear on a bible, though.

same as The Thing

I don't believe it is, I think it starts on a spaceship, then goes to the "forbidden" planet, and there's a couple of different location on the planet itself.

I never saw this film, so I may be off base... been meaning to watch it...

"The Big Kahuna."

Same story with "The Last Supper."

Rope is a trillion times better than 12 Angry Men.

reply

Agreed. 12 Angry Men is hugely overrated not to mention totally unrealistic.

Cube (1997)
House of 9 (2005)
Exam (2009)

I heard about "Cube" in the late 90s from a neighborhood friend.. He described some of it, and I've been wanting to see it.

I think you will love it. Cube inspired the Saw series and was one of the first films in this category. Cube 2 (2002) was worse but you may check it out too. Cube Zero (2004) is a prequel - my least favorite in the series.

If I didn't have a few errands today, I'd see it... Maybe tomorrow :)
