Have you ever visited the capital of your country.

I have been to Ottawa twice. The parliament buildings are very nice. The war museum is also enlightening.

reply

Twice! Once with my family and again on a school trip.

Honestly, the sites are pretty cool, but outside the main city center, DC is a crime ridden dump.

reply

You got that right!

reply

I CAN'T IMAGINE EVER WANTING TO VISIT WASHINGTON D.C.๐Ÿค”

reply

The history aspect is cool for a couple days, but I wouldn't make a vacation out of it lol. I might have been bored as a kid, but fondly remember being at the top of the Washington Monument.

reply

Numerous times for London - Iโ€™m there now, lol.

A few times for DC (I have dual nationality).

reply

You have dual nationality or dual citizenship?

๐Ÿ˜Ž

reply

In Britain dual Nationality and Dual Citizenship are considered the same thing, but I state the former because I know that itโ€™s more accurate when talking to people from other nations because of the other definitions that it has.

reply

So you have Dual Citizenship, right?

๐Ÿ˜Ž

reply

That is correct; two passports.

reply

Outstanding! If I'm not being too nosy, which did you have first?

๐Ÿ˜Ž

reply

I was born in England ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ and moved to Florida just before my tenth birthday (itโ€™s a long story). The USA is one of the easiest places in the world to get Citizenship.

reply

Yes, I have been to Washington DC many times, mainly to protest an overbearing and oppressive Federal government
brought on mainly by the Left.

reply

I've been to Washington DC twice, once as a kid and once as an adult.

I didn't like it, except for the inside of the Smithsonian Museums.

reply

Yes.
The first time was when I was ten years old.
Then in 1969 when I was 17, I began my four years at The George Washington University.
During my freshman year I lived at Adams Hall, 730 19th Street N.W., which was only three blocks from the White House.
I graduated in 1973.
Thus freshman year began with anti-war demonstrations and senior year ended during the Watergate hearings.
Washington, D.C. was a great place to go to college.
There's nothing like walking over to the Jefferson Memorial with your friends in the middle of the night, smoking a couple of doobies.
Since 1973, I've been back approximately a dozen times.

reply

Yes Canberra is like a big country town with lots of free museums and attractions.

reply

Plenty of times, I even studied there.

reply

which school?

reply

The university.

reply

Do they call it U of A?

reply

In Dutch, yeah.
